In the past few years, Pondicherry ( Puducherry ) has become a major educational destination in southern India. Renowned institutes like the Jawaharlal Institute of Post -Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) and Pondicherry University have helped considerably to raise the standard of higher education in Pondicherry.
The Government of Pondicherry is laying special emphasis on IT education. The Government’s IT policy is aimed at creating an intelligent society to raise the literacy rates and to generate human resources with advanced skills and expertise in the same field.
